Virtual Engineering OpsContract: 6 months initiallyRate: £500 per day (inside IR35 / umbrella)Hybrid / Remote: Remote with occasional to London officeMy client is currently seeking a skilled Virtual Engineering Ops professional for a contract role. This opportunity involves working on a range of exciting projects, leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive innovation and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategies to streamline operationsManaging enterprise desktop and server environments to ensure optimal performanceDeveloping and maintaining automation scripts for various processesEnsuring the security and compliance of systems and dataCollaborating with cross-functional teams to design and engineer scalable platformsOptimising system performance and monitoring infrastructure healthPerforming virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deploymentsManaging and executing project deliverables efficientlyJob Requirements:Core technical expertise in engineering within the technology sectorExperience with Citrix, VMware (vSphere, ESXi), and TerraformProficiency in Azure/AWS cloud platformsFamiliarity with automation tools such as Packer and JenkinsKnowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Management, along with Group Policy ManagementExposure to DevOps & CI/CD practicesUnderstanding of security and compliance standardsSkills in scripting and automation, including the use of Gitlab/GithubAdditional Skills:Platform design and engineering competenciesExperience in monitoring and performance optimisationProject management capabilitiesIf you possess the technical acumen and a passion for driving technological advancements, we would love to hear from you.
