DevOps Engineer- Leeds or London
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Platform Engineer to work for our consultancy partner. This is initially a 6-month contract with good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Leeds or London.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain AWS environments, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling in Python to streamline deployments and operations.
- Support deployment life cycles and ensure smooth delivery of releases.
- Participate in a rota system for live service support (08:00–18:00, Monday–Friday).
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to resolve platform-related issues quickly.
- Contribute to planning and execution for major releases and infrastructure improvements.
About You:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Python.
- Proven ability to manage cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
- Solid understanding of platform engineering principles and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
- SC clearance (or SC-clearable) is required.
- Experience working within NHS or similar regulated environments. (Desirable)
- Familiarity with release planning and supporting critical project milestones. (Desirable)
London based candidates will be required to attend the Leeds office twice a month.
