PMO Manager

About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a PMO Manager to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is an initial 6-month contract with strong potential to extend. The role will be hybrid, based in Edinburgh, with 2–3 days per week on site.

Our client is undergoing a major Lean Agile transformation, and the PMO Manager will play a critical role in enabling programme governance, shaping delivery rhythms, and supporting Agile adoption across the Ways of Working (WoW) programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage lightweight, Agile-aligned programme governance that enables transparency and effective decision-making.
  • Support the Sponsor and Programme Director with Steering Group and Executive Oversight forums.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and insight-driven reporting across the programme.
  • Support the definition, tracking and reporting of programme outcomes, OKRs and benefits.
  • Lead effective risk, issue and dependency management, including facilitation of RAID reviews.
  • Support quarterly planning events and maintain visibility of cross-team dependencies and capacity constraints.
  • Ensure high-quality document and information management aligned to pragmatic Agile standards.
  • Enable consistent stakeholder engagement and a clear programme-wide engagement model.
About You
  • Proven experience supporting Agile transformation or Ways of Working programmes within a PMO environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and hybrid delivery models within complex or regulated organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting highly Agile teams and programmes.
  • Experience with Lean Portfolio Management and value-based delivery (desirable).
  • Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira and Confluence; ServiceNow experience desirable.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence without authority.
