Planning Lead
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an experienced Planning Lead to support a large-scale digital transformation programme. The role will oversee integrated planning, scheduling, and progress reporting across multiple workstreams using enterprise planning tools. This is initially a 12 month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and management of the integrated programme plan across all transformation workstreams.
- Maintain and track milestones, dependencies, and critical paths to ensure programme delivery alignment.
- Use Planview to manage portfolio-level planning and reporting (Practitioner level experience of Planview is essential).
- Coordinate with delivery teams using Azure DevOps for sprint and release tracking (Working level knowledge of Azure DevOps is desired).
- Produce and maintain dashboards and reports using Planview, ADO, Excel and PowerPoint for stakeholder communication.
- Provide insight and recommendations to improve forecasting, resource utilisation, and delivery confidence.
- Support governance forums with accurate, timely progress and risk information.
- Ensure planning standards, templates, and processes are consistently applied across the programme.
- Collaborate with TMO, Delivery Leads, Product Owners, and Technical Leads to maintain data integrity and schedule accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning practices and tool adoption.
- 8 years of experience in a similar role
- Planview (Practitioner level experience required)
- Azure DevOps (Working level knowledge desired)
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Dashboarding tools (Planview, ADO, Excel)
