Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 base + up to 40% commission + LTIP

Overview

A rare opportunity to build and lead a brand-new AI, ML, Data & Digital recruitment division for a well-established Life Sciences recruitment firm. Founded in 2013 and now operating across Europe and North America, the business is making a major investment in expanding its technology offering across the European market.

This role offers full ownership of the European tech practice—ideal for a senior recruiter with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants to launch, scale, and eventually lead a multi-country team .

Key Responsibilities

• Launch and lead the European AI/ML/Data recruitment function within Life Sciences.
• Define and execute the go-to-market strategy across Germany, Netherlands, Nordics, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and beyond.
• Grow and scale a high-performing team , with full autonomy over hiring.
• Expand existing Life Sciences relationships and win new tech-focused clients across Pharma, Biotech, MedTech, and HealthTech.
• Develop market expertise in AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, Digital, and related technical disciplines.
• Work alongside senior leadership to shape the long-term strategy, structure, and growth plan for the division.
• Personally deliver senior and strategic mandates while building team GP and overall division revenue.

Requirements

• Strong background in technology recruitment (AI, ML, Data, Software, Cloud, Digital, or similar).
• Life Sciences experience is advantageous but not required.
• Proven track record in billing and business development.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or developing consultants (formally or informally).
• Entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable building something from scratch.
• Strong commercial, strategic, and autonomous working style.

Package & Benefits

• Base salary: £50,000 – £70,000 (DOE)
