Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver the overall operations and technology strategy aligned to business objectives
- Oversee IT infrastructure, digital platforms, cybersecurity, and systems performance
- Drive operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery frameworks
- Manage payment operations (Faster Payments, CHAPS, BACS) and ensure accuracy across reconciliations and settlements
- Lead fraud prevention and transaction monitoring activities
- Own supplier and outsourcing relationships, ensuring performance and compliance
- Deliver large-scale transformation and systems integration programmes
- Ensure full compliance with UK regulatory frameworks (FCA, PRA, GDPR, Consumer Duty)
- Provide strategic insight and reporting at Executive Committee level
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams
- Proven senior leadership experience within a UK bank, building society, or FCA regulated financial institution
- Strong knowledge of banking operations, payments, KYC/AML, and customer servicing
- Deep understanding of UK regulatory requirements including operational resilience frameworks
- Track record of delivering operational transformation and technology change
- Experienced in managing third-party providers and complex supplier landscapes
- Confident influencing at Board and regulator level
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
