Software Development Trainer - Fully Remote
Are you an established Software Development Lecturer / Trainer looking to deliver modern, industry-relevant software development content?
One of our clients is hiring a Software Development Trainer to train degree level software development apprentices, supporting them to develop real-world programming and software engineering capability.
This is a fully remote role offering the opportunity to shape the next generation of software professionals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging virtual sessions across core programming and software development topics
- Train apprentices in languages such as Python, C# or Java (you do not need all three)
- Teach core software engineering principles, including clean code, version control and SDLC methodologies
- Cover testing approaches, debugging, and modern development practices
- Support apprentices in applying technical knowledge within real workplace contexts
- Provide structured feedback on assignments and project work
- Offer academic and pastoral support to ensure learner success
What We’re Looking For
- Strong knowledge of at least one of the following: Python, C# or Java
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and development best practice
- Previous teaching, training or lecturing experience (essential) (Trainer / Tutor / Teacher / Instructor / Lecturer / Coach / Mentor)
- Industry experience in software development is highly advantageous - but not essential if your training background is strong
- Confident delivering virtual sessions to groups
- Passionate about developing early-career technical professionals
This is a fully remote working role & salary is £52,000
