Head of Sales

The Head of Sales will develop and execute a clear commercial growth strategy for AI & tech apprenticeship programmes. You will build the sales infrastructure, recruit and lead a high-performing business development team, and deliver ambitious employer partnerships.This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution in the early stages.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a commercial strategy to grow tech apprenticeship provision regionally, aligned to organisational targets.
  • Identify priority sectors, employer profiles and regional opportunities.
  • Design commercial propositions, pricing models and employer contracting processes for apprenticeship and short-course products.
Sales & Pipeline Management
  • Build and manage a robust employer sales pipeline, targeting cohort-based apprenticeship intakes.
  • Lead employer engagement activity including presentations, consultative meetings and stakeholder relationship building.
  • Translate programme outcomes into clear, demonstrable business value and ROI for employer clients.
  • Deliver against agreed conversion targets and revenue KPIs.
  • Oversee CRM usage, pipeline tracking and performance reporting.
Team Building & Leadership
  • Recruit, structure and lead a high-performing sales / business development team .
  • Set clear sales targets, KPIs and incentive structures.
  • Coach and develop team capability in consultative selling and apprenticeship funding knowledge.
  • Create a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
Desirable
  • Experience in technology training markets.
  • Experience launching new products or entering new regional markets
