Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer – Oil & Gas Software
Do you have pre-sales experience with software used across oil and gas, chemicals, asset integrity, or process industries?
We’re looking for a customer-facing pre-sales specialist who can understand complex operational challenges, shape technical solutions, and demonstrate the commercial value of enterprise software.
This is not a general engineering position. To be considered, you must have experience supporting the sale of software into oil and gas, chemicals, or another closely related asset-intensive industry.
You’ll work directly with customers and sales teams to run discovery, deliver tailored demonstrations, and design proof-of-value projects that show how the platform can improve asset integrity, reduce operational risk, and support safer, more efficient operations.

What will your day to day look like?
The key focus of this role is to support complex enterprise sales by uncovering customer challenges, shaping tailored solutions, and helping customers understand the long-term value of an integrity management platform.
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle
- Lead discovery conversations to understand technical priorities and business challenges
- Deliver tailored platform demonstrations linked to customer use cases
- Scope and guide proof-of-value projects
- Build and prototype solutions with customers and partners
- Translate complex requirements into clear, practical solution designs
- Create reusable demos, collateral, and best-practice materials
- Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams
- Develop new use cases and assess product-solution fit
- Support existing customers to improve adoption, maximise value, and reduce churn
You’ll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in asset integrity software, work closely with enterprise customers, and influence both product development and go-to-market strategy as the business grows.
This role will suit you if you...
- Have 7–10 years’ experience in enterprise solution engineering, presales, or technical consulting within B2B SaaS
- Have worked with asset integrity, reliability, safety, or similar industrial software
- Understand asset-intensive industries and the challenges their customers face
- Have experience running discovery sessions, workshops, training, and proof-of-value projects
- Can turn complex technical and business problems into clear, valuable solutions
- Are confident delivering software demonstrations to technical and senior stakeholders
- Can work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and customer teams
- Have strong written communication and documentation skills
- Combine technical aptitude with commercial awareness and a consultative approach
- Are comfortable adapting to changing customer needs and priorities
