Cyber Security Technologist Apprentice
This is a junior penetration testing position where the candidate will be shadowing, observing and helping with commercial penetration tests. We are a CHECK penetration testing company so once appropriate, we'll put the candidate through security This will also include all of our CE and CE+ engagements.
Role
- Looking after and maintaining the Asset register
- Shadowing penetration tests
- Helping with penetrations tests (running tasks and tools once comfortable)
- Helping and running CE and CE+ engagements
- Self Study of penetration testing
Training
The successful candidate will undertake a 28 Month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM. This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along
with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions. You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all
competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to
support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

- Cyber Security
- Network and Cryptography Theory
- Cyber specialist Pathway
Please note that candidates will be required to undertake an 8-week pre-employment Skills Bootcamp prior to being considered for interview for this role. Those selected for the bootcamp will be guaranteed an interview with an employer upon successful completion. To be eligible, individuals must be aged 19 or over, reside within the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) area, and be able to commit to one day of study per week. The bootcamp will cover cyber basics, technology fundamentals, and core cyber security principles to prepare you for the role.
