Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Digital Communications Assistant to join our team on a temporary contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in digital communication platforms who is keen to develop their skills further while providing essential support across our systems. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of technologies, working alongside experienced IT and business teams to deliver seamless communication services across the organisation.

• Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for communication systems, including:
• Cisco
• Aruba
• CUCM (Cisco Unified Communications Manager)
• Microsoft Teams Telephony
• Touchpoint
• Monitor, maintain, and optimise communication platforms.
• Assist with upgrades, configurations, and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure smooth user experiences.
• Escalate more complex technical issues to senior engineers when required.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in (or familiar with) supporting digital communication platforms such as Cisco, CUCM, or Teams Telephony.
• A strong problem-solver with excellent troubleshooting skills.
• A confident communicator and team player.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and keen to grow within the role.
• (Desirable) Holding relevant IT/digital communications certifications or training.
