IT Support & AV Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an IT Support & AV Engineer to join a growing local MSP business based in Aberdeen. This is a varied and hands-on role offering the opportunity to support a wide range of clients across IT infrastructure, end-user support, networking and audio-visual systems.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering reliable IT and AV support services to both office-based and remote clients, working closely with customers and the wider technical team. This position would suit a proactive and technically minded individual who enjoys problem-solving, working in different environments, and delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing first and second-line IT support to a range of business clients
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining desktop PCs, laptops and mobile devices
  • Supporting Microsoft 365 environments, including Outlook, Teams and SharePoint
  • Managing user accounts, permissions and security policies
  • Installing and supporting network infrastructure, including switches, routers and Wi-Fi systems
  • Installing, configuring and testing audio-visual systems, including projectors, interactive displays, digital signage and video conferencing equipment
  • Supporting and maintaining meeting room technology, boardroom AV systems and unified communications platforms
  • Carrying out AV installations, including cabling, screen mounting, speaker setups and equipment rack configuration
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults across AV hardware, control systems and conferencing platforms
  • Providing onsite support for client meetings, presentations and live events where required
  • Assisting with the design and implementation of AV solutions tailored to client requirements
  • Performing preventative maintenance, firmware updates and system health checks across AV environments
  • Carrying out onsite client visits for installations, maintenance and support
  • Monitoring systems, performing updates and ensuring backup processes are functioning correctly
  • Assisting with IT projects, AV deployments and infrastructure upgrades
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and updating support tickets within the helpdesk system
  • Supporting improvements in internal processes and service delivery standards

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within an IT support, AV integration or MSP environment, along with strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, networking equipment and commercial AV systems is essential. Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms, AV control systems and structured cabling would be advantageous. You’ll be organised, customer-focused and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively within a fast-paced technical environment.
