They should be capable of challenging their own work and finding a balance between perfection and practicality.FTI's AI build team is technology-agnostic with software engineering expertise to deploy advanced ML/AI methodologies at scale. Our engagements include using NLP for automated document classification, geospatial modeling of electric vehicle demand, demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, price optimization, and developing and maintaining production-grade agentic RAG systems that serve the entire firm.As a Senior Data Scientist, you will provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship to junior members of the team, while simultaneously managing smaller projects or workstreams on larger projects. You will showcase your expertise across a number of technical areas including programming, AI/ML and best practices.What You’ll DoData ManagementDevelop and oversee comprehensive ETL processesDesign and maintain functional relational databasesStructure and perform quality control procedures for data ingestion, querying, and usagesData Analysis Perform exploratory data analysis and render key insights through evidenced resultsExecute data quality assessmentsIllustrate material understandings through coherent data visualizationsExecute and tune statistical analysesModelingManage proof-of-concepts including researching and designing the approachDesign modelling approach and identify appropriate metrics from both a technical and business KPI perspectiveManage the model lifecycle including logging model parameters and metrics and storing artifactsTake ownership of model quality controlProductionize models including ongoing monitoringEngineeringDevelop data pipelines and models that are well designed and auditableDevelop production ready code that is scalable, maintainable, and adheres to best design principlesSet standards and promote best practices for engineering in the team.CommunicationFrequently partner with internal and external stakeholders both technical and non-technicalLead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to showcase resultsCoach and mentor junior data scientistsThis is an excellent opportunity for a person with proven data science experience to join a growing, dynamic team, and work on a variety of projects in a wide range of industries.
