Job Description: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Reading or Croydon, UK (2 days onsite)

Type: Permanent

Role Overview

We are looking for a Java Full Stack Developer to work on a large-scale government project. You will be involved in developing and supporting cloud-based applications and working with modern technologies in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop Java-based applications and microservices

Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services

Work on production support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices

Required Skills

Strong experience in Java 8 or above

Good knowledge of Spring Boot and Microservices

Experience with REST APIs

Understanding of CI/CD tools such as Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes

Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL

Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript

Experience in debugging and production support

Nice to Have

AWS or other cloud platform experience

Monitoring tools such as Splunk or Kibana

Public sector project experience

Additional Requirements

Candidates must have the right to work in the UK

Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC)

Willing to work 2 days onsite in Reading or Croydon
