Helpdesk Support - 1st/2nd Line
Our client, a global consultancy firm based in Knightsbridge, is looking for a 1st / 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join them on a short-term 2 week contract to support an office IT setup and deployment project.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident with hardware, user support, and office-based IT installations.
This position is for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities- Providing 1st and 2nd line helpdesk support to on-site users
- Setting up IT equipment across office pods and workspaces
- Installing and configuring PCs, monitors, docking stations, and peripherals
- Building and repairing computers, including basic component and motherboard work
- Running and organising network and power cabling
- Assisting with server room support tasks, including working around server racks
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Ensuring all equipment is installed, tested, and ready for use
- Experience in 1st / 2nd line IT support
- Strong hands-on hardware knowledge
- Comfortable working with cabling, PC builds, and office IT setups
- Ability to work independently and hit tight deadlines
- Reliable, professional, and available on-site for the full contract
