Finance Analyst

The business offers a collaborative working environment, with a hybrid approach and the opportunity to work closely with teams across the organisation.The Role They are looking to appoint a Finance Analyst to join their finance team and support the business through accurate reporting, analysis and insight. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working with financial data, identifying trends and using information to support commercial decisions. You’ll play an important part in improving reporting, providing meaningful analysis and helping the wider business understand performance.Key Responsibilities
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
- Produce regular financial reports, dashboards and management information
- Build, maintain and improve reporting tools using Power BI
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate and analyse data from multiple systems
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Provide analysis and commentary to support business decisions
- Work closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting capability
- Previous experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst or similar analytical finance role
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Power BI, creating reports and dashboards
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to query and analyse data effectively
- Advanced Excel skills, comfortable working with large datasets
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to interpret financial information and communicate findings clearly
- Confident working with stakeholders across different areas of the business
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Salary circa £40k
