Open position for Social Media Manager at FastNetMon

Were looking for a technical Social Media Manager with strong content creation skills and a deep understanding of Telecom and Cyber Security especially DDoS attacks and defence. This role can be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate and skillset.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and growing our presence across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), and other relevant platforms
Turning highly technical product updates from engineering into clear, engaging content
Monitoring industry news on telecom equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Arista, Huawei) and major DDoS threat events, and reacting with timely posts
Publishing educational content about networking topics (BGP, DNS, OSPF, MPLS, IPv6, NAT, Firewalls, Ethernet, optical transport, etc.)
Engaging with our global network engineering and cybersecurity community
Tracking performance metrics and iterating on our social strategy

Requirements:

Understanding of Telecom and Cyber Security topics
Proven experience in technical social media content creation and audience engagement
Ability to translate complex networking concepts into concise and accessible posts
Fluency in English with strong written communication skills
Familiarity with analytics tools and social media scheduling workflows

FastNetMon is a UK-based SaaS vendor in the Telecom and Cyber Security (DDoS defence) sector, serving customers in 50+ countries. We are active contributors in leading network communities (RIPE, NANOG, APNIC, M3AAWG) and maintain a widely adopted open source product FastNetMon Community.

Over the past decade, weve grown highly engaged audiences across social media including 4,600+ subscribers on LinkedIn and 2,700+ followers on X and we are continuing to scale rapidly. Social media plays a key role in our global growth strategy.

This role is remote and open to independent contractors based in the US, Canada, UK, or EU.
