Established over 10 years ago, they are a company of 60+ people and have received over $40M in funding to date
The Role:
- This is a multi-faceted platform role that goes beyond traditional infrastructure work.
- You’ll join a small but senior Engineering team, building and operating the infrastructure and data pipelines that support AI-driven drug discovery
- Expect roughly a 60/40 split between cloud infrastructure and data / pipeline engineering, with exposure to emerging technologies including agentic AI workflows
Over the first few months you’ll be:
- Deploying and managing cloud infrastructure for drug discovery pipelines
- Supporting AI and data science teams to deploy new algorithms
- Building and maintaining data pipelines and workflow orchestration
- Helping design infrastructure for agentic AI workflows
- Contributing to the company’s security and platform maturity as it scales
- Gradually taking ownership of AWS infrastructure
Tech Stack 🛠️
The environment includes:
- AWS (primary cloud platform)
- Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Python
- Airflow / Nextflow
- CircleCI
- Data pipelines and ML workflows
- Emerging Agentic AI systems
You’ll report directly to the Head of Engineering, working alongside a small but highly experienced engineering group and close collaboration with Bioinformatics and Data Science teams
This is a high-ownership team, where engineers design, build and operate the systems that power the platform.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 3+ years of commercial engineering experience, ideally in a smaller company
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS ideally)
- Strong understanding of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
- Some Python or software engineering experience
- Exposure to data pipelines or workflow orchestration
- Curiosity around AI systems and modern ML infrastructure
This role would suit someone who enjoys working across infrastructure, software and data workflows.
