The Vacancy Overview Join the forefront of innovation as an IT Cloud & Platform Network Engineer, where you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cutting-edge cloud-based solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Analyst to contribute to the development and optimisation of Azure-based infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Network Lead and IT Infrastructure Services Manager, you will be part of a 16-person Infrastructure Services team across the firm's UK offices. Working within a collaborative and agile environment, you will partner with developers, product owners, data engineers, and key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across platforms, processes, and services. Key Responsibilities, Skills & Experience Design, deploy, and maintain the firm's network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, including architecting secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and other cloud technologies such as AWS. Plan and develop cloud architecture aligned to organisational strategy, ensuring adherence to best practices in security, scalability, and performance, with strong knowledge of frameworks such as CIS and ISO27001. Manage and enhance cloud network security, including maintaining solution documentation, administering cybersecurity tools, and applying Zero Trust networking principles. Oversee vulnerability management and remediation, ensuring systems are patched and maintained in line with firm policies, while proactively managing cybersecurity risks. Configure, troubleshoot, and optimise network technologies, including dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), SD-WAN solutions, and network load balancing (e.g., F5 or equivalent). Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting, including resolution of server edge connectivity issues, while maintaining accurate records within IT Service Management tools. Implement proactive monitoring across systems and services, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability through appropriate tooling and processes. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver infrastructure solutions, support ongoing improvements, and ensure all systems have appropriate backup, configuration management, and BCDR protections in place. Contribute to automation and infrastructure-as-code approaches, with experience or exposure to tools such as Terraform, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), and Azure Functions. Demonstrate strong technical and interpersonal skills, including the ability to code, communicate effectively, manage time efficiently, and work both independently and collaboratively under pressure. Bring several years' experience in a similar Infrastructure, Network, or DevOps-focused role, with a solid understanding of ITIL processes (certification desirable). Maintain flexibility to support business needs, including occasional weekend work and travel to other offices when required. Desirable experience includes supporting legal sector systems and platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics AX. Who are we looking for? We don't have a type.
