Java Software Engineer
Fimador are currently partnering with a global technology leader seeking a Java Developer. You will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology including AI, shaping the way millions of users experience seamless digital solutions. This is an opportunity to modernise and enhance industry-leading solutions, ensuring they remain reliable and scalable.
As a Java Developer, you will provide technical guidance to design, develop, and maintain shared microservices and core platform infrastructure that support numerous product teams. You will support the platform that their customers use to access main application with user rights ect.
Duties:
- Develop high-quality, performative, and reliable Java applications.
- Ensuring seamless integration with various platforms.
- Understanding of JavaScript/React to assist with front end development side of the application
- Experience with microservices
- Gather and analyse requirements, refining features and technical solutions.
- Debug existing code, maintain system performance, and drive best coding practices.
- Manage defects and oversee their resolution across the development team.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Java development.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Familiar with AI driven engineering tools and data centric development practices.
- Background in platform engineering , DevOps experience.
- Knowledge of JavaScript/React
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in but not essential:
- TDD/ATDD/BDD, DDD, Pair/Ensemble Programming
- Wildfly, Oracle SQL, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, Jenkins
- GWT, Jest, Vite, Cypress, Playwright, eslint, esbuild, webpack, web components
