We are currently expanding our London team and looking for an eFX Pricing & Analytics Specialist to take ownership of pricing engine configuration and internalisation performance.
Role overview
This role focuses on the day-to-day performance and configuration of our internal pricing engine and the performance analytics of the internalisation book.
The position sits at the intersection of trading operations, liquidity management, and data analysis. You will monitor client flows, analyse execution outcomes, adjust pricing parameters, and work closely with the liquidity team to optimise how flow is internalised.
This is a hands-on operational role, suited to someone who enjoys analysing flow behaviour, reacting to market conditions continuously improving execution quality.
Please note: this is not a quant research or model development role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage pricing engine configuration to optimise execution and internalisation performance.
- Analyse market data, pricing behaviour, and client flow patterns to refine engine parameters.
- Monitor and analyse the PnL of the internalisation book, understanding the drivers behind performance.
- Analyse metrics such as spread capture, hedge costs, and adverse selection.
- Analyse markouts and flow behaviour to assess toxicity and execution quality.
- Identify bad tags and recommend actions (e.g. widen pricing, reroute, throttle, or exclude).
- Work closely with the liquidity team to support pricing, routing analysis, and responses to market events.
- Escalate issues early and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Perform light data analysis and exploratory work using Python or similar tools when required.
- Contribute to improving analytics coverage by identifying new monitoring metrics or checks.
What we expect from you
- Solid understanding of FX market microstructure and client flow dynamics
- Experience analysing markouts, toxicity, and adverse selection
- Strong understanding of PnL drivers in an internalisation or execution environment
- Ability to analyse execution performance and translate insights into configuration changes
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with liquidity and trading teams
- Comfortable working with data analysis tools, including basic Python for notebooks and exploratory analysis
- Experience querying and working with trading data or databases
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with pricing engines or internalisation books
- Familiarity with FX liquidity management and routing strategies
- Experience with q/kdb or similar high-frequency data environments
- Exposure to electronic FX trading or liquidity provision
- Ability to build small analytical tools or prototypes for trading analysis
