A private equity‐backed technology services business is seeking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to support the next phase of its development. The company is pursuing a balanced growth strategy, combining organic expansion with an active M&A agenda, and operates within a highly commercial, sponsor‐led environment.
The CFO will play a central role in partnering with the CEO, Board, and private equity sponsor, taking ownership of the finance function while acting as a key strategic adviser to the business. The role will span financial leadership, value creation, and execution, with particular emphasis on integration and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring robust financial control, reporting, and governance appropriate for a PE‐backed environment
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, supporting decision‐making through high‐quality financial insight and analysis
- Take ownership of the financial aspects of M&A activity, including transaction support, due diligence, and post‐acquisition integration
- Drive successful integration of acquired businesses, aligning systems, processes, controls, and reporting
- Support organic growth initiatives through effective forecasting, budgeting, and KPI frameworks
- Manage relationships with the private equity sponsor, lenders, advisors, and other external stakeholders
- Prepare the business for future value realisation, including exit planning and execution
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Proven CFO or senior finance leader experience within a private equity‐backed business
- Demonstrable track record of M&A integration, ideally within technology or technology‐enabled services
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands‐on execution
- Experience operating in a fast‐paced, change‐driven environment with high expectations from investors
- Comfortable working closely with founders, management teams, and PE sponsors
