We're partnering with a VC-backed SaaS business to find a Finance Director to own the end-to-end finance function as the business scales. This is a hands-on leadership role sitting closely with C-Suite and reporting to the CFO, offering genuine scope to build and shape the finance function from the ground up across reporting, controls, FP&A and commercial finance.

The role

• Own the end-to-end finance function, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close.
• Produce high-quality monthly management accounts, KPIs and dashboards tailored to a scaling business
• Manage statutory filings, year-end accounts and audit preparation
• Ensure strong balance sheet integrity including reconciliations, working capital, accruals and revenue recognition
• Implement and refine UK GAAP accounting policies appropriate for the company's stage
• Oversee tax compliance including quarterly VAT returns, payroll taxes and corporate tax
• Design and build financial processes, systems and controls that can scale revenue and team growth
• Maintain a forward-looking cash flow model aligned with runway and burn rate planning
• Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis to assist with strategic decisions
• Partner with department leads and RevOps to ensure accurate reporting and financial discipline across the business

What we're looking for

• ACA qualified, ideally from a Big 4 practice
• Proven experience in a senior finance role within a VC-backed or high-growth SaaS business
• Hands-on and comfortable operating with limited support in a scaling environment
• Strong technical accounting knowledge across UK GAAP, revenue recognition and balance sheet management
• Experience owning audit preparation and statutory filings
• Confident business partner with the ability to present clearly to senior stakeholders and the board
• A self-starter who can build and improve processes as the business grows
