Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Senior AI/Agentic Engineer

London | Hybrid

AI has moved beyond chatbots and copilots.

The next generation of software will be powered by autonomous, agentic systems capable of reasoning, making decisions, integrating across complex ecosystems, and delivering meaningful business outcomes at scale.

Our client is at the forefront of this shift.

Having recently secured Series A funding from leading global investors, the company is redefining software testing through AI. Their platform automates test data, test cases, and test environments, helping enterprise organisations accelerate software delivery, reduce compliance risk, and modernise quality assurance processes.

As they continue to expand their AI capabilities, they are looking for a Senior AI/Agentic Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their agentic product offering.

This is not a role where someone is handed a backlog and asked to build features.

The successful candidate will work closely with Product leadership to define strategy, identify opportunities, and transform ambitious ideas into production-grade AI systems. They will have significant influence over both the technical and product direction of the company's agentic offerings.

Working within a highly collaborative applied AI team, this individual will be responsible for taking concepts from initial exploration through to scalable deployment, ensuring that every solution delivers measurable value to customers and integrates seamlessly into the wider platform.

The environment is highly engineering-focused and quality-driven. Product and technical specifications are carefully defined before development begins, and every AI capability is rigorously benchmarked and evaluated before release. The team values robust systems that perform reliably in production, not simply impressive demonstrations.

The role offers the opportunity to own the complete lifecycle of advanced AI systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving the strategic direction of the company's agentic product offering in partnership with Product teams.
  • Identifying new opportunities where agentic AI can create value for customers and the wider platform.
  • Defining requirements, scoping solutions, and delivering production-ready systems.
  • Designing and architecting complex agentic solutions from the ground up.
  • Building scalable AI capabilities that integrate with customer environments, partner ecosystems, and internal platforms.
  • Developing and deploying end-to-end solutions that move beyond proof of concept and deliver real business impact.
  • Leading technical implementation using modern AI tooling and frameworks.
  • Supporting technical discussions with customers and partners during integration projects.
  • Establishing engineering best practices for agentic systems and sharing knowledge across the organisation.
  • Raising the technical bar through high-quality code, thoughtful architecture, and a product-minded approach to development.

The company is particularly interested in engineers who think beyond implementation. They are looking for someone who enjoys shaping the "what" alongside the "how", combining technical excellence with strong product instincts.

Successful candidates will have a proven track record of building and shipping agentic systems into production environments. They will understand framework trade-offs, tool orchestration, prompt design, evaluation methodologies, and the operational challenges involved in deploying AI at scale.

For engineers looking to influence the direction of a rapidly growing AI company, work directly on cutting-edge agentic technology, and build systems that solve complex enterprise challenges, this represents a rare opportunity.

In return, the company offers a competitive salary, meaningful equity, flexible hybrid working, Work From Anywhere benefits, private healthcare, learning and development support, generous family leave, and the chance to join an ambitious team during a significant phase of growth.
