About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Website Programmer to mange our e-commerce websites. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys solving problems independently, learning new technologies, and taking initiative.
You will maintain, test and update websites, applications, and software solutions across a range of projects. This is a hands-on role where learning will come through practical experience, research, and self-development.
Location
You need to live near Canterbury in East Kent, UK. This is an office-based job. Your application needs to demonstrate that you understand this and you need to tell us where you live to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain websites and software applications
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues
- Work with designers and developers on projects
- Test applications to ensure functionality and performance
- Research solutions and learn new technologies independently
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field
Basic knowledge of programming languages such as:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Python, Java, C#, or PHP
- Understanding of databases and web technologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to learn independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to be proactive
Desirable Skills
- Basic knowledge of AI for real life business use
- Knowledge of frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Laravel
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub
- Understanding of UI/UX principles
- Portfolio or personal coding projects
