Data Processing Technician

We have an immediate requirement for a Processing Technician to join a growing Chelmsford business. This is an entry-level permanent position where no previous insurance or technology industry experience is required, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their career within a professional, client-focused organisation. You'll support the day-to-day operation of the company's GEMINI platform, helping to ensure invoices and associated records are processed accurately and on time. You'll also communicate with clients and other external parties to resolve queries and discrepancies.

Data Processing Technician Responsibilities

  • Review, validate and process invoices through the GEMINI platform
  • Use GEMINI and ECF systems to review and process records
  • Ensure information is accurate across relevant systems
  • Investigate invoice discrepancies and processing queries
  • Liaise with experts, insurers and other market participants
  • Complete routine calculations and checks relating to invoice and payment values
  • Provide professional support to users of the GEMINI platform
  • Respond to processing-related queries and provide guidance
  • Manage daily workloads against agreed SLAs and operational targets
  • Maintain accurate records of processing activity, queries and resolutions
  • Work closely with the wider operations team to deliver an effective service Processing Technician

Data Processing Technician Requirements

  • To live within a reasonable distance of Chelmsford.
  • GCSEs grade 4/C and above in English and Maths.
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence communicating professionally with clients and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with numbers and completing basic calculations
  • Ability to follow established processes accurately
  • Proactive, collaborative attitude, with willingness to learn and develop
  • Previous administration, data processing, or customer service experience would be beneficial but this is not essential
