We have a vacancy on a temporary basis for a Corporate Clients Project Manager, who specialises in Retail to support us on a short term project.

The Role

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of corporate client take ons
  • Project resource and milestone planning, team coordination, budget management, meeting scheduling, progress monitoring, status reporting and associated customer/stakeholder comms
  • Managing, coaching, motivating, and leading an Agile delivery team to achieve high performance levels and quality.
  • Retail Network Subject Matter Expert
  • Define key deliverables for a retail network rollout project
  • Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
  • Engage with and support the Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
  • Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged and contributing value, and encourage a sustainable pace whilst maintaining appropriate quality levels

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of E2E delivery for retail network projects
  • Retail experience within corporate clients
  • Solid understanding of SDLC models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to identify and apply the appropriate blend for any given project.
  • A history (5+ years minimum experience) of successfully delivering software or projects as a Project Manager in a retail environment
  • Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams of at least 6 members (including line management responsibilities)
  • Balanced business/technical background:
  • Sufficient level of technical experience to provide credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
  • Proven experience of forming strong working relationships and effectively collaborating with customers/stakeholders to achieve solutions of high business value.
  • Degree-level qualification, preferably in an IT related discipline, or equivalent combination of specialised training.
  • Project management certification/qualifications (CSM, PSM, Prince2 etc)
