Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a fast-paced programme team based in Cheltenham. This role involves supporting business change and technology projects, helping to shape and deliver solutions that drive measurable improvement across operations.

The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, and support delivery teams to implement effective change.

Role Summary

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for leading workshops, capturing business requirements, analysing existing processes, and identifying opportunities for optimisation. You will liaise between business and technical teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and delivery of agreed outcomes.

This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analyse business processes and document clear, actionable requirements.
  • Support Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Prepare process models, reports, and requirement documentation.
  • Collaborate with project and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Track business performance and contribute to benefits realisation.
  • Capture lessons learned and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Must be sole British and ideally hold DV Clearance

Skills and Experience

The Business Analyst should have experience in:

  • Stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
  • Process mapping (Visio or equivalent tools).
  • Using JIRA and Confluence or similar collaboration platforms.
  • Working on technology-led transformation projects.
  • Understanding of change management and business transition activities.
  • Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, or business improvement methodologies (desirable).
