A.I Research Internship / Graduate – Initial 1 Year FTC

Office Based 5 Days Monday – Friday

My Client is the rapidly growing European subsidiary of a global Film company who specialise in lighting, rigging, generators, etc. The also own film studies as well as facilitate studios for other organisations.

They seek a reliable, self-motivated individual A.I. Research Intern to work closely with IT and senior management to research opportunities where AI can add value, evaluate workflows, propose intelligent improvements, and explore new automation solutions to support operations.

You will have the opportunity to gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in multiple areas of a multilocation, commercial business. This role will offer an insightful learning experience in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. with exposure to real-world applications requiring artificial intelligence and automation.

You will work closely with the IT department and Senior Management team to research and identify key areas where artificial intelligence and automation can bring measurable value to the business. This includes evaluating current workflows, proposing enhancements, and exploring new opportunities for intelligent systems to support or transform operations.

Through this internship, you will gain a deep understanding of how different departments function, what their priorities are, and how AI can be ethically and securely integrated into business processes. You will also collaborate with HR and Legal to ensure that all proposed solutions align with company values and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams to understand operational pain points and inefficiencies.
  • Conduct cross-departmental reviews under the direction of relevant directors to identify opportunities for AI and automation.
  • Break down complex workflows into actionable components and propose structured improvement plans.
  • Research and test AI tools, documenting pros/cons, integration potential, and user experience.
  • Analyse platforms for workflow automation (e.g., Power Automate) and low-code/no-code solutions (e.g., Power Apps) to empower non-technical users.
  • Develop and prototype solutions to address inefficiencies (e.g., document processing, data extraction).
  • Evaluate feasibility, cost, and ROI of proposed AI solutions.
  • Prepare structured reports and presentations for leadership, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Report on technical, ethical, and operational considerations for AI-driven process execution.
  • Conduct AI risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities (e.g., data leakage, model poisoning) and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Audit AI outputs for bias and ensure alignment with company ethics and compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, and Legal to implement governance controls for AI deployments.
  • Produce technical documentation, including usage guides and risk assessment templates.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through structured viability reports.
  • Recognise personal development needs and proactively seek learning opportunities to support growth in AI and automation.

You Will Need To:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • Exposure to Python and data preprocessing techniques
  • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, including NLP, LLMs, and reinforcement learning
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational and communication skills
  • High level of discretion when dealing with sensitive data and ethical considerations
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
  • Hands-on experience with low-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps) is a plus
  • Coursework or certifications in AI ethics or cybersecurity are advantageous
