We're Hiring: Senior LiDAR / 3D iOS Engineer

If you're genuinely world class at LiDAR, spatial capture and 3D reconstruction and you want to join the ownership of a mission critical system this role was written for you.

At Fixzy, LiDAR is not an experiment or a demo feature. It underpins how insurers, loss adjusters and repair teams understand buildings, generate scopes, and return people to their homes faster. Your work will be used in production, at scale, in real properties, not labs.

We're looking for a senior engineer to own our entire LiDAR room scanning journey, from mobile capture through to high-fidelity 3D models powering our live claims platform.

This is a true ownership role.

What you'll own

• The end-to-end LiDAR scan pipeline (mobile capture → processing → 3D models → portal)

• Improving scan accuracy, stability, reliability and usability in real world environments

• 3D room reconstruction using LiDAR data and producing clean, usable geometry

• Identifying, fixing and proactively improving weaknesses in existing LiDAR / 3D implementations

• Ongoing evolution of a production critical system used by insurers and property professionals

Required experience (non-negotiable)

We are explicitly looking for a senior-level specialist with deep, hands-on experience.

• Proven experience building production mobile applications using LiDAR

• Strong hands-on experience with Apple RoomPlan, ARKit and LiDAR APIs

• Deep understanding of spatial data capture and converting it into accurate 3D room models

• Strong Swift / native iOS experience, particularly for LiDAR and AR workflows

• Experience working in React Native, including bridging native Swift modules

• Solid understanding of 3D rendering pipelines, geometry, transforms and coordinate systems

• Experience working with 3D engines / frameworks (e.g. Three.js or similar)

Nice to have

• Experience sending LiDAR / spatial data from mobile devices to web platforms

• Familiarity with React + Three.js for browser-based 3D visualisation

• Experience improving scan validation, data quality checks or guided scanning UX

• Previous ownership of sensor-driven mobile features used by real users

• Comfortable working across native iOS (Swift) and React Native

• Proactive, opinionated and quality driven you spot issues before users do

• Experience building robust systems that must work in imperfect, real-world conditions
