Project Manager

• Office in Berkshire, travel to sites across UK 
• Full-time, Permanent
• £40,000 per year
• You MUST be experienced in installation of copper and fibre cabling systems to include installation of all containment, data racks etc.
• Knowledge of JSP453 is preferred.

Our client is a thriving company specialising in data cabling and telecommunications. With over two decades of experience, they offer exciting projects in the UK and overseas, from single data points to Multi-LAN Networks.

They are looking for a motivated and experienced Project Manager to support the continued growth of the business. This is a varied and hands-on role combining business development, surveying and quotation preparation, and project delivery across a range of infrastructure, security, and technology projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, producing accurate surveys and quotations, and managing projects from inception through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Attend client meetings and industry events.
• Support tender submissions and proposal development.
• Work with senior management to achieve company growth objectives.

Surveys & Quotations

• Conduct site surveys and client consultations.
• Assess project requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Prepare detailed quotations, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical information.
• Ensure quotations are accurate, competitive, and commercially viable.

Project Delivery

• Plan, manage, and oversee projects from award through to completion.
• Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Maintain excellent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management and client-facing roles.
• Strong commercial awareness and business development skills.
• Experience producing surveys, quotations, and project documentation.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance, completed in house. 

Desirable

• Experience within structured cabling, security systems, IT infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction environments.
• PRINCE2, APM, or equivalent project management qualification.
• Health & Safety qualification (SMSTS, SSSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH).
