Hours and location
Full-time, permanent
Leeds city centre office
Hybrid working - 2 days working from home per week
Flexible office hours or 9am - 5.30pm when working from home.
Must be able to commute to our Leeds city centre office 3 days per week.
Position overview
You will be joining Flaunt at an exciting time. As our projects have grown we are looking for a new individual to join the team to expand our capabilities.
We are looking for a passionate individual that can hit the ground running on an array of projects, and has strong communication and planning skills which will be utilised within the team and with clients. We work in many exciting sectors, such as ecommerce, hospitality, building supplies, and more.
In your day to day you will work with a diverse array of technologies, with a primary focus on WordPress & Shopify (but there are plenty of opportunities to pick up other platforms such as Laravel and React if you are interested).
Key responsibilities
As a Web Developer, you will be supporting and leading projects; working with the team and clients to produce high quality websites:
- Managing or contributing to projects with other team members on new and existing projects, both internal and external.
- Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code that doesn’t sacrifice legibility and incorporates best practices.
- Working with clients to deliver the best possible service.
Qualifications and experience
- 3+ years of industry experience in web development.
- Proven experience creating websites with either WordPress Gutenberg blocks or Shopify themes.
- Experience with PHP and JavaScript, in any frameworks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Keen interest and enthusiasm with a passion to learn and improve.
- Ability to work as part of a team and professionally with clients.
- Experience managing projects on a day to day basis.
- Knowledge of version control platforms, such as Bitbucket or GitHub.
Nice to haves (not essential)
- Experience working with Laravel or React.
- Experience working with WP Engine or AWS.
- Experience working with Netlify or Vercel.
