Head of Project Management & PMO
We are seeking a skilled Head of Project Management & PMO for a fast growing legal company in Liverpool.
This role will be based on site in central Liverpool - whilst there hybrid working once settled in, we will not consider candidates looking for full remote!
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience leading project management or PMO functions, ideally within a legal firm, professional services, or regulated environment
- Strong track record delivering complex, multi-site or multi-department programmes
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage senior partners and operational leaders
- Experience working with legal case management systems (Proclaim, Access Legal, or similar)
- Strong understanding of GDPR, data security, and governance frameworks
- Demonstrable leadership and people management skills
Role Purpose:
The Head of Project Management is responsible for leading the planning, delivery, and governance of strategic projects across the firm, ensuring initiatives are executed effectively, on time, and within budget. Operating within a regulated legal environment, this role ensures that change programmes support business growth, operational efficiency, compliance obligations, and high-quality client service.
The postholder will lead a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and cross-functional specialists, and will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership across Legal, IT, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.
