Role Summary
We're looking for a Consulting Engineer to support an MSSP in productizing an SD-WAN solution offering for their customers using Fortinet core products — FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. The role focuses on solution design, standardization, and producing high-quality Method of Procedure (MoP) documentation to enable repeatable delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and standardize an SD-WAN offering for an MSSP, making it scalable and repeatable for multiple customer deployments.
- Create solution designs leveraging FortiGate (SD-WAN + security), FortiManager (centralized management/templates), and FortiAnalyzer (logging/reporting/visibility).
- Produce delivery documentation and enablement materials, including:
- High-Level / Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD)
- MoPs / runbooks for implementation and migration activities
- Configuration standards and templates (incl. FortiManager where applicable)
- Run technical workshops with stakeholders to align architecture, deployment approach, and operational model.
- Support pilots or initial customer deployments as needed to validate the design and documentation.
- Handover and knowledge transfer to engineering/operations teams to ensure smooth ongoing delivery and support.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet:
- FortiGate
- FortiManager
- FortiAnalyzer
- Proven expertise designing and implementing Fortinet SD-WAN in multi-site environments.
- Experience working in an MSSP / service provider context (standardization, repeatable delivery, operational readiness).
- Strong documentation capability — confident producing detailed MoPs and technical runbooks.
- Solid networking fundamentals (routing, VPNs, HA, segmentation, troubleshooting).
Nice to Have
- Fortinet certifications (e.g., NSE 4/5/7 or equivalent).
- Experience with SD-WAN migrations and operational handover in managed service environments.
