Role Overview

We are seeking an experiencedMobile Packet Core Designerto support the design, development, and optimisation of mobile packet core networks within a telecom environment. The role will focus on architecture, design, and implementation support across EPC/5G Core platforms, ensuring scalable, high-availability mobile data services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and developmobile packet core network architecturesacross EPC and/or 5G Core environments.

  • Producehigh-level and low-level design documentation(HLD/LLD).

  • Supportcapacity planning, performance optimisation, and network evolution.

  • Work closely withengineering, operations, and vendor teamsto deliver packet core solutions.

  • Contribute tointegration and migration activitiesacross LTE and 5G networks.

  • Ensure solutions meetsecurity, resilience, and scalability requirements.

  • Providetechnical expertise and troubleshooting supportduring deployment and testing.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience withMobile Packet Core technologies(EPC/5G Core).

  • Hands-on knowledge ofSGW, PGW, MME, PCRF, UPF, SMF, AMFcomponents.

  • Experience producingnetwork design documentation(HLD/LLD).

  • Understanding of3GPP standards and mobile data protocols(GTP, Diameter,

  • Experience working withvirtualised/cloud-native telecom infrastructure(NFV, Kubernetes, OpenStack or similar).

  • Strong stakeholder communication and vendor management skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with major vendors such asEricsson, Nokia, Huawei, or Ciscopacket core solutions.

  • Exposure to5G Standalone (SA)deployments.

  • Experience inCI/CD, automation, or network orchestrationenvironments.

Working Model

  • Hybrid workingwith regular presence inLondon.

  • 3-month rolling contract, with potential extension.
