Virtualisation Specialist

Seeking an experienced Virtualisation Specialist with strong expertise in VMware technologies to support the design, automation, and deployment of a VMware Software-Defined Data Centre (SDDC) environment. This role involves contributing to automation initiatives, producing high-quality design documentation, and delivering a fully operational SDDC into live service.

• Rate:£550/day (Inside IR35)

• Duration:3-month rolling contract (long-term potential)

• Location:Reading or London (Hybrid working)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation modules within the VMware ecosystem.

• Implement continuous improvements to existing VMware automation modules using iterative feedback loops.

• Translate business and technical requirements into a robust VMware SDDC deployment strategy suitable for a Telco environment.

• Provide expert recommendations aligned with customer objectives and VMware/vendor best-practice guidelines.

• Produce comprehensive High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD) for SDDC components including vSAN, vRNI, vRLI, vROps, and SDDC Manager.

• Create build guides, operational documentation, and handover materials for support teams.

• Plan and execute changes in accordance with customer change-control processes for SDDC deployments.

• Deploy the SDDC solution into production/live environments.
