Job Title: Call Testing Engineer (Contract)

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Call Testing Engineer for a 4-week on-site contract based in Guernsey, This is a hands-on role involving comprehensive testing of mobile and fixed-line voice/data services across various technologies and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end voice call, video call, and data service testing using both mobile and fixed-line devices.

• Execute test cases across technologies including:

  • VoLTE, 2G/3G/4G, 5G NSA/SA, and CSFB (Circuit-Switched Fallback).

• Conduct mobile device testing on iPhones (iOS) and Samsung (Android).

• Perform fixed line testing including FTTP and IP-PBX configurations.

• Manage test equipment such as Handsets, SIMs, RF Boxes, and Antennas.

• Log defects and issues using tools such as JIRA or equivalent.

• Collaborate effectively with offshore teams for alignment and support.

• Prepare and distribute daily test status reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hands-on experience testing:

  • Mobile telecom services on iOS and Android devices.

  • Fixed line services using FTTP and IP-PBX systems.

• Solid understanding of mobile network technologies: VoLTE, 2G/3G/4G, 5G NSA/SA, CSFB.

• Familiarity with managing telecom hardware: SIMs, antennas, RF equipment.

• Strong documentation and defect reporting using tools like JIRA.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in coordination with remote/offshore teams.
