Job Title: RAN Log Analysis Engineer
Location: Bristol
Department: Radio Access Network (RAN) Operations
Role Summary
Responsible for analysing Radio Access Network (RAN) signalling and performance logs to identify network issues, support troubleshooting, and improve KPIs across LTE and 5G networks.
Key Responsibilities

Collect and analyse RAN logs from OSS, eNodeB, and gNodeB systems.

Investigate call drops, accessibility failures, handover issues, and throughput degradation.

Interpret RRC, S1AP, X2AP, and NGAP signalling messages.

Provide root cause analysis and recommendations to RAN Optimization teams.

Prepare concise technical reports and support incident troubleshooting.
Required Skills

Understanding of LTE/5G RAN architecture and protocols.

Experience with log analysis tools (Wireshark, QXDM, TEMS/Nemo).

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to work with KPI performance metrics and OSS systems.
Experience

1-4 years in RAN operations, optimization, or troubleshooting preferred.
