Role Summary
Responsible for optimizing LTE and 5G Radio Access Network performance to improve coverage, capacity, and quality KPIs. The role focuses on KPI monitoring, parameter tuning, and supporting network performance improvements across the Bristol region.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyse RAN KPIs (Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility, Integrity).

Perform parameter optimisation (handover, power control, load balancing, tilt & azimuth adjustments).

Investigate and resolve call drops, throughput issues, and handover failures.

Conduct pre/post optimization analysis and performance benchmarking.

Support cluster tuning and new site integration activities.

Work with field teams, transmission, and core network for end-to-end issue resolution.
Required Skills

Strong understanding of LTE and 5G NR RAN architecture.

Experience with OSS tools (Ericsson/Huawei/Nokia preferred).

Knowledge of RF fundamentals and KPI analysis.

Experience with tools such as Actix, TEMS, Nemo, or similar.

Strong analytical and reporting skills.

2-5 years in RAN Optimization or Network Performance roles preferred.
