Flywheel is building the AI-native content system for the best B2B companies.

Simply put, we work with high calibre founders and execs to turn their expertise into compounding organic content that drives pipeline. We went from zero to $250k ARR in 60 days. This is the first inning.

We believe the future of marketing teams includes a new role: content engineers. People who think in systems, prompts, data, and distribution, not just copy. We are assembling a small group of exceptional operators to build the platform that powers them.

Role Description: Founding Engineer (First Technical Hire)

As a Founding Engineer at Flywheel, you will work directly with the founders to design, build, and scale our AI-native content platform.

You will be responsible for core pieces of the product, from backend systems and data pipelines to the product surfaces that customers touch every day.

You will:

• own mission-critical parts of the platform, from building content generation pipelines to developing reliable web scrapers, integrations and backend systems that scale with our customers.
• design and ship AI-native product experiences, creating the workflows and interfaces that turn founder knowledge into reusable components and move ideas from research to draft to distribution.
• bring your own ideas to life, working directly with users to understand their pain points, proposing solutions and iterating quickly to deliver high-quality product improvements.

We're looking for people who have:

• Built and owned backend systems with relational databases, vector search, retrieval pipelines, queues, event-driven workers and multi-step orchestration.
• Production experience with LLMs, including prompting, structured outputs, function calling, RAG, evaluation frameworks, and agent tooling.
• Hands-on retrieval / knowledge system experience, including embeddings, indexing, chunking, semantic search, and retrieval-augmented generation specifically for content workflows.
• Scraping or enrichment pipelines that feed structured data into downstream systems.
• Strong product taste, able to turn messy workflows into clean interfaces using React or similar.

This role is in-person in Central London.

Base salary of £50k-£100k + stock depending on skills and experience.
