Senior Back-End Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer to help shape and evolve our platform as we continue to scale. This is a role for someone who combines strong engineering fundamentals with sound architectural judgement, and who is also comfortable working in a modern development environment shaped by AI-assisted tooling.

The Role

You will play a key role in the design, development and evolution of our core platform and services. We need someone who can think beyond tickets and features — someone who understands how to build robust, scalable software, make sensible technical decisions, and contribute to the broader direction of the platform.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving real product and platform challenges, working across data-heavy systems, and helping raise the bar on engineering quality, performance and maintainability.

You must be highly experienced in C# and in SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.

What we’re looking for

We want someone who is:

• A senior back-end engineer with deep experience building and maintaining production systems

• Strong on software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, performance, reliability, testing and maintainability

• Comfortable with system design and architecture, and able to make pragmatic technical decisions

• Confident working with databases and data-intensive applications

• Able to work effectively in a collaborative product engineering environment

• Curious, commercially aware, and motivated by building software that delivers real customer value

Modern engineering mindset

We are particularly interested in engineers who have embraced the modern tooling landscape.

That means someone who still has the fundamentals, but is also already working effectively with tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, or similar AI-assisted development environments. We are not looking for someone who relies on tools in place of engineering judgement - we want someone who uses them well to move faster, think better, and improve delivery quality.
