We’re working with a multi-asset trading firm at the forefront of technology and quantitative research, driving innovation across global markets. Their Front Office technology team develops high-performance trading systems, algorithmic strategies, and data-driven tools that enable traders to execute efficiently and intelligently across asset classes.

They’re looking for a talented and ambitious Front Office Developer to join their Algorithmic Trading Development team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work directly with traders and quants, building next-generation trading applications and automation tools in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Front Office Developer

• Install, upgrade, and support trading platforms for the Interest Rates Options desk.
• Design, develop, test, and document trading algorithms used across multiple desks.
• Automate options pricing and real-time risk processes for Front Office users.
• Build and maintain time-series databases , performing quantitative analysis on volatility and risk .
• Optimise trading system performance and architecture across on-premise and cloud environments .

Key Requirements of the Front Office Developer

• Master’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering , Financial Mathematics , or a similar quantitative field.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a software development or quantitative role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C, C++, SQL , and/or C# .
• Solid understanding of Linux systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and SASS/SCSS is a plus.
• Understanding of financial derivatives , including volatility modelling and stochastic calculus , is beneficial.
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, FIX, multicast/unicast, ZeroMQ/RabbitMQ) advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and results-driven mindset .
