Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Senior QA Engineer | B2B SaaS | Remote-first | £45–55k

We're hiring a Senior QA Engineer to own quality end-to-end at a scaling B2B SaaS company. The software is complex, calculation-heavy, and used by enterprise clients where accuracy is non-negotiable.

This isn't a ticket-closing role. You'll be the final gate before every release, the source of truth on what's broken and what's fixed, and the person who builds the QA function from the ground up.

The role

You'll sit on the product side, reporting to the Head of Product with a dotted line to the CTO. You'll attend design sessions to catch issues before they're built, run manual testing sweeps per release, and own bug tracking end-to-end. Engineers own the automated suite; you own everything they don't cover, using automation tools to sharpen your own efficiency.

If a bug ships, it's on you. That's the level of ownership this role carries.

What you'll be doing

  • Signing off every release from a product perspective
  • Owning all bug tracking, reproduction and reporting across every environment
  • Attending design sessions to document test cases and flag misspecifications early
  • Running manual testing sweeps each release cycle
  • Building the QA process where little currently exists
  • Being the point of contact for engineers when automated tests fail

What we're looking for

  • Proven senior QA experience in a B2B SaaS environment
  • Strong manual testing skills alongside familiarity with automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium or similar)
  • Product instinct, catching edge cases and misspecifications in design, not just execution
  • Comfort with complex, logic-heavy software where numerical accuracy matters
  • Experience owning release sign-off and bug tracking end-to-end
  • UK-based, able to come into a London office once or twice a month

Green flags

  • You've joined a company with an immature QA process and built something from scratch
  • You think like a user first, a tester second
  • You're comfortable with high accountability and enterprise-level scrutiny

The package

  • £45,000–£55,000 (flexible for the right person)
  • Remote-first, UK-based
  • London office, 1–2× per month
  • 2-stage interview, no lengthy hoops
