We're working a well-backed, product-led fintech that's scaling fast and building genuinely disruptive technology in a market ripe for change. With strong technical foundations, a high bar for engineering quality, and a product that solves a real problem at real scale - they're looking to add a backend centric Senior Software Engineer to their growing function.

You'll be a key contributor across backend systems - owning design, architecture, and delivery of core infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with product, mentor other engineers, and be trusted to make autonomous calls on complex, ambiguous problems.

What we need to see from a Senior Software Engineer:

  • Experience with payments systems & high-volume transaction environments: Ideally within fintech or financial services, though strong eCommerce/Consumer/Gaming payments infrastructure experience will also be considered
  • Strong Typescript & Node.js experience - this is the core of how the team builds
  • AWS cloud infrastructure, containerised deployments (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Event-driven, distributed architecture and publicly accessible REST APIs
  • System design, scalable architecture, and product problem-solving
  • Testing philosophy, quality standards, and security within distributed systems
  • AI tool fluency - this is an active part of how the team works
  • Continuous delivery and fully automated deployment pipelines
