Solutions Architect
Senior Manager - Solution Architect
Salary - Up to £90,000
Hybrid | Bristol
We're working with a growing consultancy that partners with organisations on complex technology and digital transformation challenges. They're expanding their architecture capability and are looking for a Senior Managing Solution Architect to join the team.
This is a senior leadership role. You'll report directly to the Chief Enterprise Architect, carry real technical authority and own architectural delivery across multiple client engagements at once. If you want a role where make decisions, shape practice and do work that genuinely moves the needle for clients, this is it.
Responsibilities as a Solution Architect:
• Lead architectural delivery across multiple client engagements and act as the senior technical escalation point
• Design and govern enterprise-grade solution architectures, including cloud, data, and integration patterns
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to shape technical strategy and translate business requirements into architectural decisions
• Support practice development and help grow the internal architecture capability
• Define and uphold technical governance, security standards, and compliance requirements
• Contribute to business development, including pre-sales and proposal work
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of consultants and analysts
• Manage technical risk and oversee integration across client technology estates
• Communicate architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements:
• TOGAF certification with strong applied experience across multiple architecture domains
• Proven background at Senior Manager or Lead Architect level, with experience managing large-scale technology programmes
• Solid cloud architecture experience, with Azure preferred
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including communication at executive level
• Familiarity with governance frameworks such as DDAT and GDS
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing senior technical staff
• Good understanding of security principles and risk management
• Desirable: ERP knowledge, public sector or defence experience, cloud architecture certifications, microservices design experience
Why apply?
• Senior role with genuine scope to lead and influence, not just deliver
• Opportunity to help shape and grow an internal practice alongside experienced leadership
• Varied work across industries and engagement types
• Hybrid working from Bristol with flexibility built in
• Enterprise-scale programmes with real complexity and impact
If you're a Solution Architect ready to step into a role with real leadership scope and strategic influence, we'd like to hear from you. Apply directly or reach out to start a conversation.
