Solutions Architect

Manager - Solution Architect

Salary - Up to £80,000

Hybrid | Bristol

We're working with a growing consultancy that partners with organisations on complex technology and digital transformation challenges. They're expanding their architecture capability and are looking for a Managing Solution Architect to join the team.

This is a hands-on technical role with real client-facing responsibility. You'll work across a range of engagements, designing and governing solutions, mentoring junior colleagues, and contributing to a practice that takes quality seriously. If you want variety, ownership and the chance to do interesting architecture work, this is worth a look.

Responsibilities as a Senior Consultant Solution Architect:

• Design and implement technical architectures that meet complex business needs, ensuring interoperability and adherence to recognised frameworks

• Define data models, schemas, and API integrations for real-time and batch processing

• Provide technical direction on design patterns, best practices and technology choices

• Work closely with stakeholders at all levels to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions

• Ensure solutions meet governance, security, data protection, and accessibility standards

• Design and oversee integration between systems and platforms, with a focus on compatibility and security

• Identify technical risks and design appropriate mitigation strategies

• Produce clear architecture documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences

• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across the practice

• Contribute to business development and support the growth of the digital capability

Requirements:

• TOGAF certification with solid applied experience across architecture domains

• Proven experience designing and delivering digital solutions aligned to TOGAF's Architecture Development Method

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Strong understanding of secure system design, including encryption, authentication, and risk management

• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

• Good understanding of governance frameworks and compliance standards

• Desirable: GDS or public sector experience, ITIL or COBIT certifications, cloud architecture certifications, microservices design experience

Why apply?

• Genuine client-facing responsibility from day one, not a back-office technical function

• Varied work across industries and engagement types, with real architectural ownership

• A collaborative team that values knowledge sharing and invests in its people

• Hybrid working from Bristol with flexibility to work remotely and on client sites

• A clear path for growth within an expanding practice

If you're a Solution Architect looking for a role with real scope and variety, we'd like to hear from you. Apply directly or get in touch to find out more.
