Overview

Forsyth Barnes is recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation undergoing a major data transformation.

This is a hands-on Business Intelligence & Systems Analyst role within a growing data function building a modern Azure-based data platform and lakehouse. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality reporting, data models, and insights that drive decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards across key business functions
• Develop and optimise SQL queries, data models, and ETL logic
• Transform raw data into clean, business-ready datasets
• Work with data warehouse structures (fact & dimension models)
• Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve processes
• Support and mentor junior analysts

Requirements (Must-Have)

• 4+ years’ experience in a BI / Data Analyst / Reporting role
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SQL (joins, aggregations, ETL logic, stored procedures)
• Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling, dashboards)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Experience in FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain
• Exposure to Azure data platforms / data warehousing / lakehouse environments
• Experience with Power Automate or workflow automation
