Data Engineer
Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a leading utilities organisation as they look to increase capability within their Data and Digital Services team. As a Data Engineer, you'll be a versatile professional, proficient in delivering data and analytical solutions.
This role will involve
- Providing leadership and technical expertise across various disciplines within small project teams.
- Working in Agile/Scrum environments, possibly leading squads and fulfilling multiple roles.
- Contributing to work estimation, agile development, and continuous improvement.
- Coaching team members and contributing to drafting/updating service policies and procedures.
- Designing robust, secure, and supportable corporate data solutions following dimensional modeling methodology.
- Developing, testing, and assuring extracts of data, semantic models, reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
- Building automated test frameworks and improving test coverage across projects.
Previous experience required
- Experience in data engineering with tools like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Spark, Python, SQL, Cosmos DB, Microsoft Azure Analysis Services, and PowerBI.
- Proficiency in dimensional data modeling and delivering end-to-end BI solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments, product lifecycle management, and Azure DevOps or similar tools.
