Software Engineer in Test

We're looking for a SDET/Quality Engineer to join a leading team working at the intersection of data science and financial crime prevention. Our team specialises in understanding criminal behavior behind money laundering and fraud, helping financial institutions take action through data-driven insights.

You’ll be part of a collaborative application development team, testing products from concept to deployment. This includes improving existing tools, building new features, and maintaining high quality standards throughout.

Key Details:

• Outside IR35
• £500 Per day
• 2/3 Days in the London office a week
• 6 Month Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, review, and execute tasks in an agile/sprint workflow
• Write and run functional and non-functional test cases (UI/API)
• Identify and document bugs; collaborate with developers on fixes
• Create and maintain automation frameworks and QA tools
• Ensure compliance with enterprise QA standards and processes
• Translate requirements into test strategies and detailed test plans
• Contribute to devops-based workflows and CI/CD processes

Requirements:

• Strong background in software testing (functional, regression, E2E, performance)
• Experience with large data volumes and low-latency systems
• Familiar with devops, CI/CD, and agile practices
• Skilled in automation and BDD (backend/frontend)
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, or similar languages
• Experience with tools like Postman, Jenkins, Docker, Cypress, Playwright, SQL clients
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Hybrid role with office attendance in central London on Mondays and Thursdays
• Interest in data science and machine learning is a plus
