We're partnering with a high-growth tech scale-up in a regulated sector that is looking for a Legal Counsel (1-3 PQE) to join the team on a 6 month FTC.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer with extensive experience of managing complex disputes and investigations.
What you'll be doing:
You'll be the go-to legal adviser for litigation, disputes and investigations, including:
- Lead the company's litigation strategy and manage contentious matters, from early-stage disputes through to formal proceedings and resolution.
- Develop legal strategies that balance commercial objectives with effective risk management.
- Oversee relationships with external counsel.
- Coordinate responses to regulatory enquiries, investigations and other sensitive matters, working with stakeholders across the business.
- Advise on complex customer complaints, product-related issues and other high-risk matters requiring legal input.
- Build and improve internal processes, guidance and escalation frameworks.
This is a broad role that may also cover:
- Regulatory matters in a highly regulated industry.
- Employment law and workplace disputes.
- Data protection and privacy (UK GDPR).
- Delivering legal training or supporting cross-functional business projects.
About you:
- You'll be a qualified solicitor or barrister (England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction), or have equivalent experience, with around 1-3 years' PQE.
- Strong experience handling litigation, disputes and investigations.
- Immediately available and able to commute to central London 3 days/week.
